WHO ARE WE?

Waste Energy Solutions and Technologies Inc. (“WEST”) is a Sudbury, Ontario based innovative waste technology company focused on delivering an energy-from-waste (“EFW”) solution to the world’s escalating garbage problem.

We believe that in order to live in a sustainable world, we must take action to move away from a linear economy, toward a fully circular economy.

WEST’s climate positive waste technology supports this model by offering project-based solutions to managing and processing municipal and industrial waste streams thereby reducing the volume of garbage ending up in landfills.

A giant step forward for Canada.

THE PROBLEM

  • Waste is out of control. Landfills are filling up at unprecedented rates, running out of capacity, and closing down.

  • Ontario’s landfills are estimated to reach capacity by 2028.

  • Extreme waste volumes are creating long-term environmental, social, and economic problems with greater GHG emissions and higher costs to transport, and dispose of, waste.

  • Building more landfills isn’t an option!

  • WEST’s innovative waste technology provides a solution to the world’s growing garbage problem by converting waste into a source of energy.

THE SOLUTION

WEST introduces Waste Processing As A Service (“WPAAS™”), a first-of-its-kind project-based service where we work with communities and industries to redirect their blue box, landfill and industrial waste to centralized waste recovery facilities.

Through our proprietary waste technology and our WPAAS, WEST utilizes waste as feedstock to generate electricity, heating and cooling.

We work with clients to analyze their waste, design a solution based on the their particular waste stream, and offer our no capex, fixed price, long-term WPAAS model.

WEST’s WPAAS model can cater to all sizes of municipalities and industries across
differentiated waste streams.

THE IMPACT

Our core business model is to work with municipal and industrial clients to understand their specific waste challenges. Our WPAAS model provides solutions for a wide variety of communities, including among them, municipalities, First Nations, transportation, mining, manufacturing, and food and beverage industries.
